Crunch Time!

So, Katelyn is going crazy......  I diagnosed her with Acute Nesting Syndrome this week. If you don't know what nesting is, here is the internet's definition:
Nesting is a ritual performed by pregnant women in ridding the house, the "nest", from anything potentially harmful to the soon to be born child. This can also be seen as a phase before menstruation where the woman enjoys cuddling and snuggling more than usual.
In case you need convincing, here is some evidence presented to me that played a large role in the diagnosis:

After many intense hours of hard work, these closets were finally "nested" enough for Katelyn and our baby.

Same with this book shelf

And these random pieces of the kitchen.

Once all the nesting is finished for the day, Katelyn lies down with her 7 pillows and enjoys some light reading about birthing. As you can see, there is no longer any room for me on this bed. I try to use the corner at night, but sleeping has grown quite uncomfortable for the both of us.

The baby room is coming along fine.

We painted these awesome pictures to match the wall border. Hopefully they are good enough to woo the young infant to sleep.

And here is the infamous belly. 34 weeks and counting.

It really has been a very good pregnancy for both of us. If it weren't for the ever-growing belly, you wouldn't even know Katelyn was pregnant. No sickness or craziness up until the nesting stage of doom. We are counting our many blessings and spending as much time together before our lives change forever.

PS - our neighbor's dumpster freaked us out the other day with this:

  1. The picture of Kate on the bed is genius! Ha, sorry Dalty you will only have to live through that 7 more times (since I have predicted your 8 children). The pictures in the nursery are so cute! Love! Can't wait for Brielle Kate to come!!!!!
